What I Read in February 2021
I started the month by reading almost an entire series in a week, but then my pace slowed down due to life just getting busy. But here is it! What I read in February.
1 - 7. Bridgertons (Books 2-8) by Julia Quinn
In January, I read the first of the Bridgerton series, and in the first couple of weeks of February, I read the rest of the series. It’s good cheesy regency romance fun, and I really enjoyed them. It also now has me eagerly anticipating series 2 of the series on Netflix!
8. Kill Joy by Holly Jackson
This is a short prequel to ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ and ‘Good Girl, Bad Blood’, that was released for World Book Day. Holly Jackson is an auto-buy author for me now, and I loved this short book!
9. Alonement by Francesca Specter (gifted)
Based on her amazing podcast about finding the joy in spending time alone, and not associating being alone as something inherently negative, this book confirmed what I loved about being alone, but also helped reframe for me the things I still am apprehensive about. I’ve also chatted to Francesca a few times, and am excited to be interviewing her on an Instagram live on launch day - 4th March!
10. The Switch by Beth O’Leary (gifted)
The Switch, was February’s pick for my book club! I loved this book the first time I read it years ago, and loved it again this time round. I love that whilst still being a rom-com, it’s mainly about female family relationships.
I’ve interviewed Beth about this book before too! Which you can listen to on my podcast, if you so wish.
