What I Read in September 2021

I only read two books in September, one at the very beginning of the month, and the second right at the end. I realise, however, that if I’m going to hit my goal of 52, I need to get back into the habit of reading daily! But here are the two books I read this month…

1. Wendy, Darling by A C Wise

Wendy Darling, was a birthday present from my parents.

This book tells the story of what happens to Wendy after her first adventures in Neverland, as a woman who tells stories that nobody believes. And when her daughter, Jane, is taken by Peter, she has to go back to Neverland to find and rescue her.

This is dark twisted version of a story I love, and I couldn’t put it down.

I definitely recommend that you pick up this book.

2. The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn

After seeing the trailer for the second series of Netflix’s Bridgerton, I couldn’t help but re-read this book. Earlier in the year I read all the Bridgerton books, including their prequels, so wanted to refresh what happens in the second book in my mind. I’m glad I did. Once again this book was cheesy Regency Romance, and I’m always here for that.
