This was my first impression of this book as I unboxed the stack of books Quercus sent me for their 2021 Word of Mouth event. And I must admit I was intrigued…

“Ally’s relationship is over, and she’s taking the cat…”

This book was such a heart-warming story of friendship after loss, unrequited love, jealousy and family. This book also has so much LGBT+ representation but what I really loved about is it didn’t make a song and dance about it. This is just the story about relationships, queer or otherwise.

I have a feeling that this will be a bestseller when it’s released. It’s so easy to read, and just a brilliant story.
